Information in English on the Extraordinary Chambers The Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (EC) are Cambodian criminal courts showing a mixture of national and international characteristics. In this respect, they are comparable to a group of other recently created tribunals, such as the Special Court for Sierra Leone, the UN administered courts in East Timor and the Kosovo and the War crimes chambers in Bosnia. However, they often have little in common except for the fact that they are neither purely domestic courts nor purely international courts.
